Great success for The Big Test Drive Caterham at Romeo Ferraris

On Saturday, November 8th, the eleventh edition of the RF Experience took place, where Romeo Ferraris made available to its customers the professionalism acquired through decades of workshop activity and its presence in the world of motorsports.
The event was named “The Big Test Drive” and was held at the company's headquarters in Opera, south of Milan. For the occasion, over 80 participants — including new clients and long-time enthusiasts — were able to enjoy pleasant weather and a great atmosphere created by the Lombard manufacturer.
For the 11th edition, the focus was on the new Caterham models, with Caterham providing support by leading some of their cars. The partnership between the Opera-based company and the prestigious British brand is a consolidated reality, as Romeo Ferraris has been the importer and dealer in Italy since 2021.

Synonymous with lightness and driving pleasure, Caterham models are perfect for anyone who wants to challenge themselves, while also benefiting from the experience and professional advice of Romeo Ferraris' qualified staff. The models that have been put on the street were the Caterham Seven 340R, the Super Seven 2000, and the 485 Final Edition.
In detail, these three models guarantee the sensations of an agile and snappy sports car at the wheel, although with some differences. The 340R is positioned in the middle of the Caterham range and makes the power-to-weight ratio its main mantra, without neglecting the aesthetic details for enthusiasts. The Super Seven 2000, on the other hand, embodies the “retro” spirit of this historic model, yet adds important technical elements that bring it into the present, such as the 2.0 Liter Ford Duratec engine and the SMITHS instrumentation.
In the end, the 485 Final Edition is considered the flagship model. The development around this specific car has allowed it to achieve on-track performance comparable to supercars. The 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1999 cc develops a remarkable 228 hp. This power, combined with the car's weight of 560 kg, allows it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 4.1 seconds.

In addition to the road test, the Milanese company set up a coffee station that entertained the participants while they waited in the showroom, offering the opportunity to purchase Caterham merchandise from a dedicated display.
Edition #11 of the RF Experience was also held during an important time for the entire Romeo Ferraris family, as “The Big Test Drive” took place concurrently with Romeo Ferraris' participation in the first “Royal Bahrain Concours”, held at the Royal Golf Club. Main characters of the event were a Porsche Turbo S 992 with the Velos Kit and the company's top executives, Michela Cerruti, General Manager, and Mario Ferraris, Technical Director.
