Romeo Ferraris has today released the first image of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta developed for TCR Series.

“It ‘been a long and hard work and we wanted to bring on track the Giulietta before the end of the season – said Mario Ferraris – The car is now ready and we have already tested the engine with promising results. Now we can take the technical development on track”. The first Giulietta test took place in the first week of November; the goal was to ship the car to Macao to attend the last event of the TCR International Series. “Unfortunately the plans were more optimistic and obviously we do not want to risk running on a difficult track like Macau without having accumulated the necessary experience!”, Continued Ferraris. The Giulietta TCR will remain in Italy and therefore should continue testing development also next week in the hands of Mario Ferraris and Salvatore Tavano (who was the official Alfa Romeo driver in the WTCC), and they will gather and share more data. At present the company aims to produce 10 copies by April 2016. The estimated retail price should be € 98,000 (plus the cost of data and taxes).
