The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris are ready to face the half-2019 season mark of the FIA WTCR. The fifth round of the season takes place on the mythical Nordschleife, the “green hell” of 25,378 meters where many pages of motorsports history have been written, in a special event supporting the 24 Hours race.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris, entered in the FIA WTCR by Team Mulsanne, will take the challenge on the German track with the Veloce restyle for the first time. The objective will be to harvest as many valuable points as possible.

Also, Kevin Ceccon, twice on the podium at the Slovakiaring will make his personal debut on the demanding Nordschleife, while Ma Qing Hua (who won Race 3 in Slovakia) will be able to count on the experience gathered in the past in the WTCC, with TC1 class cars.

Given its peculiar nature, the German round will have its own format: Thursday will be devoted to free practice and the two qualifying sessions, with Q2 as a single session, starting almost at sunset, at 20:15. On Friday, Race 1 will kick-off at 17:30, while on Saturday Race 2 will be at 11:00 and Race 3 at 12:20. All races will have a distance length of 3 laps.

Michela Cerruti, Operations Manager Romeo Ferraris
“To race on the Nordschleife is always a unique experience, and even if I won’t be at the wheel, I feel a special sensation. Having raced there, and even won a VLN race in GT3, I know what it means. Ma Qing Hua has already competed there in the past, and this is not a minor advantage, while Kevin will be at his debut, in a less enviable position. We will see, on one of the most challenging tracks of the season and with the longest straight, how much progress we have done with the Veloce that has been launched this year”.
