It’s another win for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR in the USA: the car, of which Romeo Ferraris is manufacturer and exclusive global distributor, won the Road America 120, the seventh round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The team KMW Motorsport, which works together with TMR Engineering in the American championship, brought home the third win of the season after the ones in Sebring and Watkins Glen; moreover, they managed to do it in a historically advantageous circuit for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris. It’s actually the third consecutive win, the one in Elkhart Lake for the KMW team and the Italian car, to confirm the incredible performance of the car on this track once again.

After a tenth-place finish in the qualifying round, the two American drivers, Roy Block and Tim Lewis, did an amazing job during the two hours of racing, where they demonstrated an excellent race pace thanks to the perfect fitting conditions of the car on such a complete track as Road America. During the first stint, Block was able to gain back positions without losing too much time to the leader, allowing his teammate to continue to attack during the second part of the race. Lewis therefore managed not only to make up a lot of ground but also to overtake Unitronic/JDC-Miller MotorSports’ Audi RS3 #17 with only a few laps to go after a fair and square but exciting battle; KMW Motorsports then perfectly handled its gap on its rivals and won for the third time in 2023 on the same track where it conquered its first victory. This result allows the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris to prove once again to be among the best of its category, despite a field that sees a wide range of brands such as Hyundai, Audi and Honda with more recent cars on the grid.
