Few days after the second round of the 2019 FIA WTCR round at the Hungaroring near Budapest, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris are ready for another visit to one of the prettiest European capitals. Located in the green outskirts of Bratislava, the Slovakiaring is hosting the third round of the reference series for TCR cars. This is a track that has an important meaning in the history of the Italian cars. Last year, Kevin Ceccon made here his debut with Team Mulsanne, during the weekend when he and Fabrizio Giovanardi scored the first points for the car developed and built at Opera. The track’s design, with its fast and wide-radius corners, suits well the car, although the first races of the 2019 season have shown how close the competition is and how tiny the gaps are this year. Ceccon will be back to the track where he made his world stage debut, while Ma Qing Hua will race for the first time at the Slovakiaring at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris.

Michela Cerruti, Operations Manager Romeo Ferraris

“We face two very tough weeks. In Slovakia, we’ll share the event with the EWC, the top Endurance series for motor bikes, in a rehearsal of the season’s grand finale at Sepang. We’ll see how will work an event which has a completely different format, but this will also be an opportunity to go back to a track which, theoretically, suits us. Marrakesh and Budapest went reasonably well, but we would have wished to capitalize more on our potential. I am confident that in Slovakia, especially if we will have a good BoP, we have some good cards to ply. Kevin has fond memories from racing there, and we expect him to be competitive since scratch, while Qing Hua has proven he has no difficulty whatsoever to adapt to any new situation. It will also be interesting to see how track conditions will evolve after Saturday, a day where only the bikes will be in action”.
