Team Mulsanne is ready for a new challenge in the FIA WTCR with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris. The Italian squad will be at the start of the fifth round of the season at the MotorLand Aragón circuit near Alcañiz, Spain, which is visited for the first time by the series and new to everyone. On the paper, the Spanish track looks favorable to the cars by the Opera-based constructor, which can best express their potential on long straights and fast corners. Will also have to be taken into account the expected low autumn temperatures and the strong winds, which may play a key role during the weekend. Team Mulsanne will enter only one car this time, entrusted to Jean-Karl Vernay, who aims at increasing at MotorLand Aragón his lead in the FIA WTCR Trophy that he has conquered thanks to four successes. The Frenchman is also fourth in the overall standings, where he collected two podium finishes.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager
“We come from a very positive weekend at the Slovakia Ring and I am confident we can carry on the trend in Spain. I am anxious to discover MotorLand Aragón and to see how our car will perform on a track that looks friendly to it. We are going there quite late in the year and we know that it’s a pretty dry and cold place. That could impact the results. This weekend we will have on track only one car for Jean-Karl Vernay, whose first task will be to maintain P1 in the FIA WTCR Trophy, while Luca Filippi will be with us for our home race in Italy, in two weeks.”
