The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris head to Budapest

After a short Easter break, Team Mulsanne and the entire Romeo Ferraris staff are ready to go back to action for the second round of the FIA WTCR season. Following Marrakesh street circuit, where both Kevin Ceccon and Ma Qing Hua sneaked in the Top-10, the races in the outskirts of Budapest, in what can be deemed a traditional circuit, will hand the opportunity to verify the potential expressed by the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce at the pre-season collective test in Barcelona and at the season-opener in Morocco. Ma has already experience on the Hungaroring, having raced there in the WTCC in 2015, the same year when Kevin Ceccon won in GP3 on the Hungarian track. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris will face for the first time the Magyar 4381-meter hilly track, whose proximity to the capital always grants huge crowds in the paddock and the grandstands.

“Between Marrakesh and Budapest, a number of things have changed in my life, but certainly not the attention with which I have been following the work at the factory. Both Kevin and Ma have done a great job in Marrakesh, but we know the areas where we can improve and it is on those we have been focusing in recent weeks. The Hungaroring has never been the most favorable track for us, from a technical point of view, because the Giulietta prefer the fast corners that the Hungarian tracks lacks, but let’s see how the improvements done will work. Still, it is one of the most exciting events of the year, because of the warm embrace of an usually large public and because of the weather variables. Last year, in a challenging time for us, we got close to the Top-10, and we hope to improve this year and to understand how the Giulietta Veloce will face those conditions”.
