The Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris wins again. The car by the Opera-based manufacture, entrusted to V-Action Racing Team and Luigi Ferrara, has conquered Race 1 of the third round of the TCR Italy at Misano, after dominating free practice and qualifying, with the pole position, the first for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris since the one conquered by GE-Force in April 2017 in the TCR International Series. For Ferrara, Race-1 has been a lights-to-flag success, extending his lead in the overall standings. In Race 2, with the first ten positions inverted on the grid, and despite a red flag, Ferrara climbed again to the podium, in a third position on the finishing line which later become a P2 following a sanction to the race winner.

The Misano round also marked the debut in the TCR Italy of a second Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris. Edoardo Cappello, a driver with a background mostly in hill-climbing, and Otto Motorsport have signed an excellent result, with P5 in Sunday’s race. Starting from the seventh row, Cappello has made the best use of all opportunities, obtaining a result that confirms the competitiveness of the car developed and built at Opera.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager

“This has been a round that means a lot to us. We have dominated since the start of the weekend and victory was within reach even in Race 2. To see Gigi and V-Action conquer two podium finishes and a pole position, something that our car had been missing for over one year, is simply great. The synergy with Otto Motorsport was also excellent, with both cars proving competitive on this track. After Imola, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR By Romeo Ferraris are back to the front in the Italian series”.
