The Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris doubles it presence in the TCR Italy. The cars of the Opera-based factory will take part to the third round of the Italian touring car series, after the debut at Imola and the second round at Le Castellet, with Gigi Ferrara and the V-Action team leading the overall standings after the double win in the season-opener, with 41 points. This weekend, the track carrying the name and memory of Marco Simoncelli will also be the set for the debut of a second Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris taken care by Ottavio Bloise’s Otto Motorsport and driven by Edoardo Cappello, the driver born in Catania, specialized in hill climb and now debuting in the TCR Italy.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager
“We are very happy to extend the family of our Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris currently on track, bringing a second car in the TCR Italy, which is proving to be a very attractive and interesting series. Following his wins at Imola, Ferrara has received an 85 kgs success ballast, something equivalent to … having a passenger next to him in the French races. Inevitably, the French round was a daring one, but V-Action managed to keep the leadership in the championship. Thanks to the little break in the WTCR, we will present at Misano with our engineers and technicians not only to assist the championship leader but also to contribute to a good debut by Otto Motorsport with Edoardo Cappello, who joins our racing family for this event”.
