The Giulietta Romeo Ferraris makes its first public debut during the presentation of the Italian TCR Championship. A car that catched the organizers eye, created enthusiasm and standed out among other competitors for originality and detail attention. “There are cars still under developement, for this reason we decided to postpone the beginning of 2016 season from April 17th to May 22nd ” said Marazzi, Italian Touring Champioship director. An importart postponement for Romeo Ferraris team in order to end and to optimize the construction of Giulietta for the TCR championship. “Next weekend, 30th and 31st January we will be at Mugello to do more tests, so we can evaluate the performance of the Giulietta in a fast circuit” said Mario Ferraris. Romeo Ferraris is very interested in the Italian Championship program but there will be many factors to be evaluated before participating. The 2016 Italian Touring Championship 2016 will start on May 22nd in the Monza circuit together with TCR International Series, the season count a total of seven weekends, each made of two 25 minutes + 1 lap races. There will be two national title at stake, respectively cars in TCR configuration (only 2.0l turbo class) and TCS (turbo classes: 1.4l, 1.6l, 1.8l, 2.0l). The format of the weekend includes two 30’ free practice sessions (or a single 60’ session) and two 15’ qualifying sessions divided by a 10’ interval. The first qualifying session will determine the position in race 1 grid and the fastest time in the second round will determine the grid position in race 2. The start of the races will be from a standing start. The event format allows up to two drivers on each car and the respective scores are combined to calculate the title assignment. In case of a two pilots team, one will have to qualify the car for race 1 and the other for race 2.
