The summer break is almost over for the FIA WTCR, and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by Romeo Ferraris are ready to take the track for the final phase of the 2019 season. Activity will resume this coming weekend at the Ningbo track in China, a crucial market for the automotive industry and the Opera-based constructor.

Ningbo will also be home race for Ma Qing Hua, who wrote history back in 2014 by becoming the first Chinese driver to win a FIA world championship race, in the former WTCC. This year, Ma had the satisfaction to win at the wheel of the Giulietta Veloce entered by Team Mulsanne, conquering Race 3 in Slovakia. Alongside him on the podium was team mate Kevin Ceccon.

Ma and  Ceccon have the same objective ahead of the Asian tour that concludes the season: to score as many points as possible, in order to climb positions in the overall standings. Rounds following Ningbo include Suzuka (26-27 October), Macau (16-17 November) and Sepang as a new calendar entry (15 December).

In the meantime, Romeo Ferraris will be present on Sunday 6 October at the GtCup Monza event, launching a contest for all fans on social media. By publishing a post on Instagram tagging the official account @Romeo_ferraris and using #RomeoFerraris, it will be possible to live a truly “Racing” experience on board of one of the cars developed by the Opera-based constructor. Further details will follow shortly on our social networks.

At Ningbo, engines will be started on Friday afternoon at 17:00 local time for the first session of free practice, as an appetizer ahead of a very busy Saturday, with free practice 2 at (at 9:00) and the first qualifying session at 11:00. “We are really eager to get started with the final stretch of the FIA WTCR season, after using the summer break to continue fine-tuning our Giulietta Veloce TCR and assisting with great care our customers throughout the world in their respective commitments at national level. We really want to obtain good results in China, one of the countries where we have exported our cars, and where our ambitious sporting project has gained most interest and trust.  Together with Kevin and Ma, we will aim at harvesting good points, building also on the data gathered last year at our first appearance at Ningbo”.
