It has been a great racing weekend for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris, as they shone around the world. From the Far East, where two cars entered respectively by 55 Moto Racing and GO & FUN Squadra Corse took part to the inaugural round of the TCR Japan at Autopolis, to Australia and Italy. At the Sydney Motorsport Park came two excellent second positions, in Race 2 and 3, conquered by Dylan O’Keeffe, with the Veloce restyled version prepared by Ashley Seward Motorsport. But also another Giulietta, in the hands of  Jimmy Vernon  on behalf of Garry Rogers Motorsport, achieved to finish twice in the Top-10. In the TCR Italy, Max Mugelli and PRS Motorsport signed the first podium finish at Misano, in a Race 2 complicated by rain, after having led the race for many laps. Besides national stages, the cars built at Opera by Romeo Ferraris, were in action also on the international scene, as Team Mulsanne, after the excellent round in Slovakia, was at Zandvoort for the fourth round of the FIA WTCR. On Dutch soil, Kevin Cecccon and Ma Qing Hua, because of the 30-kgs compensation weight added to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR following the successful outing in Slovakia, could not be among the front-runners, but fought hard in all races, on a track known for not allowing overtaking.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager
“It has been another intense weekend for our staff, who has been on duty not only on the back-to-back rounds of the FIA WTCR, but has also supported our customers in Australia, Italy and Japan, from where have arrived excellent news, which makes us proud of the work done. Zandvoort was not a circuit favorable to us on the paper, and proved even more so due to the 30 additional kilos of compensation weight. Once again, more than 20 cars were covered by a mere second in qualifying, and gaining positions at Zandvoort is a rare feat. Our drivers were still able to overtake a number of times, showing great determination and fighting spirit. On top we were very proud to receive the visit in our box of FIA President Jean Todt, who was attending this round”.
