There will be one Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris this weekend in the Monza round of the TCR Europe. Team Mulsanne, the reference team in the FIA WTCR for the cars built at Opera, will enter Fabrizio Giovanardi in its home race of the continental series for TCR cars. Monza will be the sixth and penultimate stop of the 2018 calendar, and after the debuting in the TCR Italy with Kevin Ceccon, Team Mulsanne is now ready to do the same in the European series. It means to bring back to the competition the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris, which took part to the TCR Europe Trophy held as a single event in 2017 at Adria. For Giovanardi, who in the last round of the FIA WTCR in Slovakia scored the first points for the car and the Lombard constructor, this will be his first commitment of 2018 out of the FIA WTCR, precisely on the track where he started his tenure with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR by Romeo Ferraris during the winter tests.

“I reckon that when we considered taking part to the Monza round of the TCR Europe with Fabrizio, I was almost moved. To start this journey together seven months ago was already something special, but to plan the return of Fabrizio and of our Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR to their home track is simply terrific. Technically speaking, I think that our car is well-suited to the long straights of the track. Last year, in the TCR International Series round, we proved to be in good shape, and given the progress made, we hope to be competitive. We come from scoring the first point in the FIA WTCR, one first row and two podium finishes in the TCR Italy, so we hope to continue this trend”.
